10 Prayers That Never Go Unnoticed by God

Let’s talk about powerful prayers that God always says yes to!

If you’re like me, you probably find yourself more consistently failing or confused in prayer than in any other aspect of the Christian life. Why is that? Talking to the Lord, who saved us, chose us, and sustains us, should be the most delightful and natural thing in the world, shouldn’t it? Maybe it should, but more often than not, it doesn’t.

Prayer can be such a simple, beautiful, and complicated thing simultaneously. People pray in their different ways, and still, a loving God hears everyone. But getting an answer? Well, that can be a completely different story.

Sometimes, the answer to your prayer comes right away. Other times, we have to wait. However, there are certain things we can pray for that the Lord will always answer. This being said, here are some powerful prayers that God always says yes to!

1. “Forgive my sins”

We serve the merciful and loving Lord, and every one of us is a sinner. There’s no such thing as a perfect Christian. Unlike God, we’re meant to make mistakes. We all stumble and, sometimes, backslide. But what makes us good Christians is how we look at our sins. Do you acknowledge your sins as bad, or do you simply not care?

When you repent, God hears you. By opening your heart and confessing your sins, you can be redeemed. The Lord died to save every one of us from our sins. Not just when he died on the cross, but every day of our lives.

Asking for forgiveness is one of the most powerful prayers, and the Lord always answers it.

2. “Use me to glorify you.”

One of God’s greatest desires is to use us to glorify Him. Sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do or where He is directing us. We’re living in a world where obstacles are everywhere, and it often feels like everyone is stressing over money, deadlines, goals, and so on.

But what most of us tend to forget is that we’ve come into this world with a purpose. It’s OK if you haven’t found yours yet. If you need a sense of direction in your life, simply ask God, and He’ll answer.

It could be something as small but not less powerful as buying a homeless person a meal or something bigger, like starting a non-profit for a specific cause.

It could also be using the unique talent the Lord has given you to reach other people for Him.

3. “Give me your wisdom.”

As the Bible tells us, we’re not to rely on our understanding. This can be especially difficult in tough times. When you are dealing with a situation where you don’t know what the next step may be or what you should do, ask Him to give you His wisdom.

As humans, we gain wisdom by learning, growing, and interacting with the world. But that’s not the way the Lord is. He doesn’t need to acquire wisdom. The wisdom of the Lord defines the Lord’s self. He has an exhaustive, comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all that is, but not by calculation or deduction.

When you find yourself at a crossroads, it may help to speak with a trusted friend or your pastor as well. Sometimes, when we’re in our minds and all stressed out, God will speak through a trusted friend or clergy member as to what we should do. Other times, He’ll speak to you directly.

4. “Reveal yourself to me.”

In this vortex of life, it can be difficult to see and hear where God is leading us. If we simply stop and pray so He can reveal himself to us, he will, and it’s often in amazing, awesome ways. Every one of us is special in the Lord’s eyes, so he reveals himself in different ways for everyone.

To some of us, He’s an inner voice; to others, He speaks through dreams and visions. He also speaks at times by revealing the opportunities, resources, or jobs we need exactly when we need them.

If you are really struggling and need some guidance in your life, give yourself some time during the day to just take a break from everything you’re doing and ask Him to reveal himself in your life. Then pay attention to the smallest of things during your day.

The Lord doesn’t always reveal himself in big ways. Sometimes He shows His presence in small ways as well.

5. “Help me spread your love.”

The world we live in can be a crazy place, full of ideas, thoughts, and opinions. The Bible teaches us that the best way to interact with people is by showing the love of God, but sometimes it’s difficult to know how to do this, especially when other people are just mean.

When you ask the Lord to help you spread His love, He will. Like with other powerful prayers on this list, you must have patience. You may find a charity or non-profit to volunteer at, or you may do something on your own, like drive an elderly neighbor to a doctor’s appointment or help a single mom pay for her groceries.

6. “Strengthen my obedience.”

We all know that when God asks us to do something, we need to be obedient. Yet, there are times when doing this can be very, very hard.

For instance, if we’re waiting for something to happen, it can be difficult not to take matters into our own hands. When you’re dealing with anxiety and have days of doubt, ask the Lord to strengthen your obedience. Pray so He can help you do what you’ve been commanded to do.

For me personally, whenever I see or hear the phrase “Be still and know that I am God,” it reminds me to keep going and maintain my obedience. For the Lord is working even if I can’t see it.

7. “Give me clarity.”

Walking this path called life can be challenging and muddled at times. The last thing God wants is for you to make the wrong choice or go down the wrong path. This prayer may take time and patience, but the Lord will always send you an answer when you pray to Him to give you clarity.

8. “Align my heart with yours.”

The world can be a cruel place, and people can be mean. When you find yourself surrounded by these things, it can be difficult sometimes not to hold resentment, judgment, or other negative feelings in your heart.

By asking God to align your heart with His and asking for forgiveness, he can purify and cleanse us of the toxic things that accumulate in our hearts and make us more aligned with him. He loves us so much and wants us to be more like Him, so this is a powerful prayer He will always answer.

9. “Align my mind with yours.”

Our minds are bombarded by thoughts, images, information, and opinions of all kinds every day. But keep in mind that what goes in is what comes out.

However, we can’t be totally immune to all these stimuli and shut ourselves off from the media and society. We need to be out there to survive, but we need to not let these things change us. We all falter in our thoughts from time to time.

When this happens, it’s best to ask God to align your mind with His.

10. “Help me find peace.”

Our own lives can be chaotic, not to mention everything that’s going on at the moment in the world. War, killings, thirst for power and money—finding peace in a world like this can seem almost impossible.

But God doesn’t want us to live in a state of peril and anxiety, so pray for peace, and he will answer.
