Is God hearing your prayers?
This is a question that many people are asking themselves: “Is God really hearing my prayers?” There is only one answer to this question, and that is yes, God always hears your prayers. And there are many examples of this thought in the Bible.
Another thing that makes people wonder is that maybe God is just ignoring their prayers. But this is not possible. We are all His children, and you should know that He never ignores His children. This is something he promised.
If you prayed to God and you feel like you received no answer, like the only thing you can hear is the sounds of the crickets, you should know that maybe he chose a more subtle way to answer you, and maybe you just pass by it every day without even realizing what is happening.
1. Dreams and visions
This is not something unheard of. Many times, God will choose to speak to your thoughts, visions, and dreams. Some dreams can be clear signs that God is speaking to you since they are direct and answer your prayers clearly, but sometimes these dreams can be more subtle and symbolic, and this is when we might not be aware that God is trying to tell us something.
If you have vivid dreams or powerful visions that you remember and that are impacting your life, it can be clear that God is trying to speak to you. And when God speaks, it is always for your benefit and also for the benefit of those who are around you.
In dreams, God might be trying to reveal His plans for you, or he might want to warn you about something. He is providing guidance and direction, and you should do your best to hear what he is trying to tell you.
If you can’t understand the message that is presented to you through your dreams and visions, seek wise counsel and try to find the answer.
2. The consistency and repetition of the message
As we already said, God has many ways that he uses to communicate with us, and if a message gets repeated, this can easily be one of the signs that God is speaking to you.
If God wants to send you an important message, he will send you the same message over and over until you notice it and take action. It may be a sermon, a scripture, a song, a collection of numbers, or even a discussion with a buddy. If it is something that repeatedly pops up in your life, you should give it a more careful look because there is a high chance that this is one of the signs that God is speaking to you.
Try to notice if something keeps coming up. Also, it can repeat without taking on the same shape. But if there is something that all of those things have in common, maybe God is trying to tell you something.
When you see the same message over and over again, God may be calling you to make a change in your life, and all you have to do is follow the message and trust Him deeply. So, take your time, pray, and seek God’s guidance.
3. What are the paths telling you?
We all have our goals in life, and sometimes we try to achieve them, but we never manage to do it. Or maybe we set a new goal and conquer it in no time, and we feel like there is no effort needed. Maybe you wish for something to happen and try to make that wish come true, but it seems like it is almost impossible.
Things like these can happen to any of us, but if you feel like there is something more out there, there is a chance that you might be right. It can be divine intervention and one of the signs that God is speaking to you.
From the beginning of time, God communicated with us by clearing or blocking paths. He has a plan for you, and if some of your choices do not align with that plan, you might notice that that path becomes blocked. It would be like there is no way to follow it because any attempt will become pointless in no time.
If you feel like you are stuck somewhere and there is no way to go, you should not panic. God is trying to tell you something, and you should listen to His word. He will open you a window, and you should trust Him and be ready to climb it.
4. Listen to other people
Always pay close attention to what others are telling you. One of the signs that God is speaking to you is when he tries to tell you something through other people. This happens more often than you might think, but many times we easily overlook it.
These messages can come to you in the form of encouragement, advice, and sometimes even warnings. Try to pay attention to what others are telling you, because this might be God trying to guide you on your path.
If you are open to the Holy Spirit, you can notice and accept that God will find His way to talk to you through those around you. Maybe you talk to a friend, a family member, and sometimes even a stranger when they share with you a message that resonates deeply with you. This might be the message that will give you the clarity you need in your life.
But one thing we all should be aware of is that not any message we get from others is God’s word. We need to be attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and then we will be able to recognize the messages that are from God.
5. Calm, clarity, and inner peace
Once you are in tune with what God has planned for you, a feeling of calm and serenity might take over your life. This is something that is really easy to recognize, and once you feel it, you will know for sure what it is.
When this feeling of tranquility becomes a part of your life, this might be one of the signs that God is speaking to you. This might mean that you are on the right path, and you don’t need to change anything.
Generally, when you are lost and don’t know where to go, this is a sign that you are not doing what is right, and you have to do something about it. But when everything is calm and you feel like you have nothing to worry about, let yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit and trust it with all of your heart.
